Austin’s dad, Ric Wheeler, was a massive jazz fan, photographer, music educator and graduate of the Hartt School of Music. His friend’s dad, William Theodore Blackwell II, loved Zappa and jazz equally and had three original vinyl copies of Sun Ra in his collection!
