Legendary producer and renowned author Joe Boyd will DJ at Commune with Dust-to-Digital founder Lance Ledbetter. Together, they will take you on an audio tour of Joe's new book, And the Roots of Rhythm Remain: A Journey Through Global Music. Featured music will include sounds from Lagos, Budapest, Kingston, Rio and beyond.

A sonic hero of ours (and many others), Joe recorded and produced music by Pink Floyd, Sandy Denny, Nick Drake and REM and was also a cofounder of the influential nightclub UFO. Ledbetter runs the phenomenal record label and IG Account @dusttodigital and does regular talks on global music and culture.

Times like these call for community. So, in the spirit of taverns of old, where 'friends and enemies met to conspire, to plan their independence and betrayal,' and 'dissent was voiced and thus were the birthing grounds for rebellion,' we want to bring our fellow malcontents a night of food, wine and music.

This time we're going a la carte, with wines by the glass and food by Chef Haven in collaboration with Chef Olivia McCoy. Our favorite anti-establishment tunes by JVS. Imagine the French Revolution meets early days punk scene.

This Wednesday, March 12th, we host Atlanta wine hero Eric Brown, whose former retail shop, Le Caveau, was a bastion of uber-cool and avant garde natural wines in Chamblee throughout the twenty-teens. Eric now works with a terrific small importer called SelectioNaturel that brings in well-built, intelligent natural wines from Italy, and he'll be in the house to show a few of them off.
